Castro Street Seen - A program to revive the Castro with history.

Revitalizing The Castro

Castro Street Seen is a neighborhood-wide initiative built to transform and enliven The Castro. Watch as LGBTQ+ history come to life on the very streets where it happened.

Celebrating Our History

Each installation will be a special curation of LGBTQ+ historic photographs. Retail locations and shuttered stores will become visual storybooks depicting our strength.

Preserving Our Legacy

Castro Street Seen will be an immersive, interactive experience where you’ll soon be able to share your own story, too. Together, we’ll record and preserve our LGBTQ+ history as told by all of us who have lived it.
